Viva Las Vegas with NAHB
The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is having a singing contest. The winner will sing the National Anthem at the Grand Opening Ceremonies at the 2010 International Builders’ Show® in Las Vegas, January 19, 2010. Yesterday, Hallie Gentry from the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Portland sent me an email encouraging me to enter. I don’t know what is wrong with me, but I thought, “Why not? That would be fun!”
I have to admit, I am feeling a little lucky. Last week general membership of the Home Builders Association of Metropolitian Portland voted me in as a board member. Wow! If it is possible to get voted in for the board of directors for the most prestigious home builder association in Portland, surely I can win a little singing contest, right?
