FeaturesOur client, a single Dad of two beautiful teenage daughters, knew the moment he saw this modest Laurelhurst English Tudor it was perfect for his family. The home had history, good bones, ample light, and a great layout. It just needed to be personalized. We were selected to help express the family’s personal style: a mixture we describe as traditionally rooted with a global influence, and a touch of bohemian style. +

The simplicity of light and original character in this living room felt extraordinary, so we
left it untouched. Our client’s bohemian personality and his family heirloom rug inspired
layered textures and patterns.
To create a durable floor for the soaking tub, we wove in the master bathroom carrera
marble hexagon tiles with the existing oak floors, creating a harlequin design.
Can you imagine having two daughters, two dogs, and two cats without a mudroom
during a wet Portland winter? Neither could our client, so we created a functional
mudroom packed with storage solutions within the existing footprint of his Laurelhurst
Since cats tend to go anywhere they please, we added a custom stained glass awning
window, produced by Portland artist David Schlicker, to the mudroom, allowing
effortless come and go access.
Contrary to common perception, well designed basements can be a favorite place to escape
and unwind. We installed luxury vinyl floors for durability, and we worked with a rich palette of
cool hues and gold creating an inviting media and game room for our client’s family.
