Features

This classic remodel in Portland’s Laurelhurst neighborhood, is full of exciting period detail and luster. A unique design with custom freestanding mirrors in front of the windows thoughtfully allowed this previously small space to overcome its dark and inefficient layout. The matte grays and silver finishes are a refreshing change of pace for this space. Charming geometric tile details enhance the style of the home, allowing the room to age gracefully with our clients. +

1921 Laurelhurst Cottage Family Room Design
angela-todd-interior-designer-portfolio-logo Our client’s lived abroad in the United Kingdom together and brought back a good dose of English style sensibility. This hand knotted rug was purchased by their father while in the service in the middle east – and now takes center stage in the families front living room.

1921 Laurelhurst Cottage Bathroom Interior Design
angela-todd-interior-designer-portfolio-logo The previous bathroom only offered room for a single pedestal sink, a toilet and a shower less than 3’ square. By borrowing space from a guest bedroom and boldly placing the vanity in front of the homes existing second story windows, we were able to more than double the size of the bathroom and shower, add two sinks, and ample storage.

angela-todd-interior-designer-portfolio-logo The natural light from the southeast facing windows provide ethereal light morning until night. We enhanced the mood with whites, blues and grays. We also featured period details in the master bathroom using glass pulls, subway and hexagon tiles and liners. We opted for some modern features including a contrasting charcoal grout, quartz countertops, glass orb pendants, undermount sinks, and a frameless glass.

1921 Laurelhurst Cottage Closet Design
angela-todd-interior-designer-portfolio-logo Our clients have a busy household and lifestyle and wanted an organized closet. The new closet provides storage for everything from shoes to jewelry. It helps our clients stay organized and efficient in their morning routine. We realized we did a commendable job when upon subsequent visits to the client’s closet more than a year later revealed a tidy space.
