I found myself relaxed and refreshed this week after attending the BUILD retreat at Eagle Crest Resort near Redmond, Oregon. Remodelers, Builders, and Interior Designers from Northwest Society of Interior Designers, Professional Remodelers Organization and the Oregon chapter of the National Kitchen and Bath Association attended. We played, we laughed, we learned, and we gave to a great charity ReFit of Oregon.
Many times when I connect in a meaningful way to others, I find myself able to take on a large influx of workflow – both endeavors in design and business operations. My creativity blooms, giving birth to new ideas and concepts. If you live in Portland, Oregon, you couldn’t help but notice the sunshine this week too. The rays of sunshine after such a rainy season in Portland act like beams of inspiration for me as they cascade into our studio in the West Hills. I found myself “on” all week. Don’t you just love weeks like this?
My surge of energy made me eager to tackle those “I meant to do it months ago” procrastination projects, especially retooling some areas of our website. We updated our main photo of our website to include a pictorial gallery when the site launches, made appointments to record additional video work about our suite of services, and we began adding to our Press section of our website. (I have shamelessly had a pile of saved newspaper clippings and magazine articles that I intended to scan, crop, and send to our web genius Steve to upload for longer than I will admit.) We have some other changes brewing too, but I will wait to tell you about them when they launch.
It was a productive week. May you and your family have a happy and inspiring Fourth of July weekend. Browse our website as the changes keep uploading. We’d love to hear your thoughts and impressions.
